Fitness is becoming more and more popular these days, and many women desire to have beautiful toned abs, so that’s why I’ve decided to share with you the best ab lines workout in this post.
In my opinion, strong abs always look great. But if you are a woman, you may strive to achieve a more feminine look rather than to have a shredded 6-pack. It’s all about preferences though. Some people like ab cubes, some – ab lines. Both look beautiful! But in this post, I’ll show exercises that help you to build ab lines like on my photo below:
Though I should make a disclaimer that the way your abs look is highly determined by genetics. So if you are prone to have 6-pack abs, then you are more likely to have them appear when doing core training than people who genetically tend to have prominent obliques (lines). I hope it makes sense!
Speaking from my experience, I can say that when I first started training abs I got a classic 6-pack look. I was very proud of it and really loved how it looked. After that, I had a very long (like 10 years) break. And when I got back to fitness and decided to get abs quick (I share how exactly I did it in the post “How to get abs in a month”), I noticed that my abs looked different that time. They were not like 6-pack but mostly 2 beautiful side lines which I enjoy a lot as well. I believe it happened because I was using not only crunches but also other exercises that help to shape and shred obliques.
That’s why in this article I want to show you some exercises that target your sides (aka obliques) and help to make ab lines more prominent. I personally think these particular exercises are the most effective in building lines so we’ll focus on them!
One great thing about this ab lines workout is that you can do it anywhere and without any equipment. To train your core muscles you only need your own body weight. So simple!

Exercises are a great way to tone your muscles and get a more defined shape. But don’t forget that your diet is also very important. To get visible abs you need to get rid of excess fat on your tummy, otherwise it will be difficult to see your ab lines under the layer of fat. Also, make sure you eat enough protein because when your diet lacks this nutrient it’s difficult to build muscles and make them look visible.
